The project
Air One, a demonstrator event launching the world's first fully functioning vertiport for Advanced Air Mobility. In partnership with Supernal (Hyundai Motor Group's Air Mobility Division), Coventry City Council and Coventry City of Culture we setup an Air One vertiport in the heart of Coventry City Centre and welcomed over 10,000 visitors in a three week period.
My role
As Head of Communications I was responsible for creating all branding, marketing content, large format artwork and touchpoints for the event. I also developed the social media campaign in collaboration with several key stakeholders in Coventry City Council.

The Air One logo
The Air One logo is developed specifically for the event and to mark the first generation of Air One vertiports. Staying true to the main UAP identity, it includes the angular cut-outs and stylised crossbar of the letter R to create a sense of individuality.

Flight jackets
All UAP team members went 'Maverick style' and wore specially branded flight jackets emblazoned with the UAP logo on the left breast and Air One wordmark embroidered along the right sleeve. The jacket also included a Union Jack on the upper left arm, signifying UAP's pride in being British born and made.

Urban-Air Choice vending machine
As part of the demonstrator Urban-Air Port provided examples of its non-aeronautical revenue through an interactive and experiential brand showcase: Urban-Air Choice, comprising a fully working cafe and pop-up spaces in partnerships with retail brands. An integral part of Urban-Air Choice was the use of smart vending technology, in parallel with the development of an Urban-Air Port app.

Press releases
During the Air One event, UAP published press releases around new partnerships and investments in the company. As Head of Comms it was my job to create copy and liaise with external comms teams to finalise these announcements prior to publication.

UAP partner ecosystem - feature wall
Building an expansive partner ecosystem within the advanced air mobility sector was paramount to the success of UAP. To showcase this with impact we created an 8m long feature wall as a focal point within Air One. It proved to be a great spot for group photos, with organisations posing next to their logo. It was also a very effective backdrop for the many fireside talks that took place during the opening days of the event.
