The project
Just a few years ago, the concept of 'Urban Air Mobility' (UAM) and flying vehicles seemed like something out of science fiction. Today, the industry is rapidly evolving, making the transportation of people and goods via sustainable, green flying machines a tangible reality. At Foster + Partners, the architects have long been exploring how infrastructure can play a vital role in enabling UAM. I had the privilege of working alongside a partner at the practice to develop a proposal in collaboration with Airbus, envisioning how cities can prepare for the dawn of UAM.
My role
Leveraging my expertise in graphic design and print production, I was responsible for creating a visually striking coffee table book to communicate the complex ideas behind UAM and the importance of integrated infrastructure. The book combined impactful imagery, bold typography, a cohesive color palette, and carefully designed infographics to convey Foster + Partners’ vision. Additionally, I employed advanced print production techniques, including layflat binding, to enhance the presentation of double-page spreads and produce a sophisticated, attention-grabbing piece that showcased the collaboration with Airbus.
