The project
Omkar 1973 Worli is a residential multi-skyscraper project located in Worli, Mumbai. The three towers designed by Foster + Partners are amongst the tallest buildings in the world, with the largest coming in at around 267 meters. The project is set for completion late 2024.
My role
As Senior Graphic Designer at Foster + Partners it was a privilege to be involved in developing the signage programme for this prestigious project. A set of wayfinding guidelines were required for areas of the development including interior lobbies, exterior and interior amenity areas and access areas such as public and private parking lots. The complete set of deliverables for the 78 page guidelines were:
- Typeface selection and typesetting with importance of sizing to meet international compliance regulations regarding viewing distances
- A library of pictograms meeting AIGA and SEGD standards
- A geometric pattern design utilising the Omkar logo
- An identity for the Worli development
- All of the above applied to floor mounted totem signage and wall interior signage
